Honoring Outstanding Young Leaders in Scouting
Some of our strongest and most enduring community partnerships have been with youth organizations — especially America's scouting programs. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has proudly supported the Boy Scouts of America since 1915, when VFW Post 2100 helped establish Troop 1 in Everett, Washington.
The VFW Scout of the Year program recognizes exceptional members of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who exemplify citizenship, patriotism, and a true love of country through their leadership, community service, and personal achievements.
